What I liked
Helpful staff in A and E and in particular a very competent and thorough doctor who put me at ease and explained everything very clearly. On Surgical Assessment Unit everyone was caring, considerate and never gave the impression of having insufficient time to deal with patients. The Unit was very clean, tidy and bright.
What could be improved
Patient privacy is a little patchy. My discharge from the consultant was a 30 second conversation as I emerged from the bathroom in the middle of the ward. Bedside Consultations in the early hours of the morning are no doubt necessary but it owuld be good if the medics could remember to turn down the volume a bit!
"My experience sums up all that is best..."
