What I liked
After taking my 10 year old son to A&E with stroke type symptoms, I expected a long wait because the children's A&E was full, My son was called immediately and monitored. My son was seen very quickly by a doctor, all the staff were lovely and reassured my son. We were kept informed all the time and my son was transferred to ward 120. The staff were friendly and helpful it was clean and comfortable. my son was seen by 2 paediatricians, given medication and follow up appointments were made and appointments for physio and to see a specialist will be posted.
I cannot fault Hull Royal Infirmary in any way and even though living across the Humber Bridge, Hull Royal is always my first choice.
Well done to all the staff
What could be improved
I think the Children's A&E is always busy, only so many children can be seen at any one time.
More cubicles for children would help the patients and staff
"Quick, professional clean and welcoming..."
