What I liked

My mother is an inpatient at Rowley and the care has been much better than received in geriatric medicine at Sandwell. Special thanks to one Nurse in particular who goes out of their way to keep patients and relatives informed and make them feel welcome and involved.

What could be improved

The service not being withdrawn as patients will have to be moved again after already being moved to Rowley.

Anything else?

I am sorry this service is being withdrawn. Although I have had to spend a lot on travelling costs to visit my mom she does appear to be very well cared for there and thats worth the extra travelling distance.

My email address is johnadler@nhs.net. Although we are closing McCarthy Ward, it will be replaced by a new intermediate care facility which will include staff from nursing, therapies and social care.
