About: William Harvey Hospital (Ashford)

What could be improved

There were no facilities for my partner to wait overnight whilst I was being induced and as a result he was forced to sleep on the floor. There was little privacy for patients other than curtains around beds, for patients who can be in a lot of pain and can be frightened this is unacceptable. Staff were rude, judgemental and uncaring.

Anything else?

My partner was told not to hold his own baby in the corridor in case he dropped him! I was placed (in a hospital bed from which I could not move) next to a huge window in the middle of July with sun scorching onto me for hours the day after major surgery. There was no information to enable me to make any informed choices about my treatment. I hope I never have to return to the William Harvey.
