"Terrible"

About: Wythenshawe Hospital

What I liked

Whilst my son was ill although the staff in a and e were terribly rude the staff on the starlight ward were brilliant and supportive.

What could be improved

The politeness of the staff. They were all extremly rude especially the receptionists and nurses, they swear and sit at the bus stop smoking. Ive visited wythenshawe hospital a few times over the years and ive always been disatisfied it took them 10 years to diagnose that my gallbladder had stopped working. I was spoken to like scum whilst my son was born and the night of my son being born i had a cecarian and i dropped my glasses on the floor and it was an hour before anyone was coming and i tried to get them myself and one of the nurses walked in and said dont do that cause if u fall you are to heavy to pick up. This is being told to me a few hours after going through major surgery. I felt extremly vunerable and offended. This hospital has really made me loose faith that there is a good nhs out there and some of the staff are ok majority need training into how to talk to people.

Anything else?

The waiting times in A n E are also awful.
