About: Yeovil District Hospital

What I liked

Not much ,iremarked here 7months ago about not being treated at E/A for a deep cut on my hand ,it has taken 7 months to be picked up .

There are standards that hospitals have to adhere to but yeovil seems to be except .

It has taken months to get an appointment to see a dermatoligist then its months to get a biopsi on top of that for some reason its going to take 3 weeks to get the results for that, then it will be monthsbefore i get the opperation .

Bearing in mind if its malignant , i will have a seriouse problem ,i was under the impression any possibility of a malignant growth should be treated as soon as posible apparenltly this is not the case due to the excessive time wait for tests and appointments :

What could be improved

3 weeks just to gets results for a possible malignant growth is excessive and not condusive to best practice for the patient .

appointments to see a specialist are to long ,and then another long wait to get a procedure done .

Anything else?

The appointments at this hospital needs looking at !

this hospital gets millions in funding yet if you need a minor opp you have to all the way to taunton?

On seeing the dr fosters hospital rating for yeovil standing at appx 20 out of 100 ,it seems to put things into perspective .

I think next time i need to get any proceeures done i will get it done somewhere else :
