What I liked
i attended oral surgery for dental extractions and arrived early accompanied by my wife. when i was seen i was 10 mins late but an apology was made saying the doctor had to take a phone call which due to the apology was acceptable. i had a good explanation prior to signing my consent of waht was to happen and what to expect afterwards. i was given clear concise instructions following my procedure which were explained in full to both myself and my wife before we left the department. a contact number was also given should i have any problems. i am a smoker and smoking cessation advice was offered prior to my leaving the department as the nurse explained they were a department concerned with the prevention of mouth cancer which i found helpful.
i have since discovered the nurse dealing with me and assisting during my procedure was the unit manager and i feel she should be praised for the professionalism of the department. even staff not concerned with my care were friendly and appeared approachable. altogether a positive experience.
What could be improved
nothing
"reassuring and professional"
