What I liked
I had to attend the Peggy Wood Clinic and the the thing I appreciated most was the way the doctor and every member of staff that I came into contact with were so easy to talk to and seemed to understand that any woman facing being diagnosed with breast cancer would be very nervous and have a lot of questions. They were very patient and informative which was so re-assuring at such a worrying time.
What could be improved
Nothing springs to mind.
Anything else?
The calm and relaxed atmosphere created by the staff helped put me at ease which was appreciated at a time when I felt rather nervous of the outcome of my diagnosis. On my first visit it seemed that in no time at all I had been seen by the consultant, had the mamograms and a biopsy taken. Fortunately I only needed minor surgery which was done in the Day Surgery Unit some 4 weeks later. I would like to mention that the D S Unit was pristine clean including the toilet/wash area which I can only describe as sparkling. On my follow up appointment to the clinic I was told the results of the surgery, which luckily for me were good, plus given lots of information, options and useful advice which was all very re-assuring. I may add the surgery has left no scars whatsoever. The consultant and ALL the staff at the Peggy Wood Clinic deserve full credit for the work they do and the caring, professional manner in which they do it. I know I could not have got better treatment anywhere even if I had been able to pay for it privately.
"I could not have received better..."
