About: Moseley Hall Hospital

What could be improved

my dad was moved to Moseley hall for a few weeks following a stroke. He was moved from Q.E on Thursday afternoon to wait for further tests at the hospital. I think this was Febuary 3rd 2011.

We visited him on Friday he was fractouse, in a so called ward like a coridor. On Saturday he had diaroah and sickness and was in a bed of diaroah. The auxillery came to clean him up, after l asked, but he was a little unco operative as he could barely stand for her. I helped clean dad up and then when the bed was not remade, made it myself. Dad needed the toilet again so my husband and l took him to the toilet diarrhoea poured from him it was black, and he was sick. On the sunday everyone from that visit had servere sikness and diarrhoea. Dads elderly brother was hospitalized. l rang to report it and spoke to the managers assistant she was very understanding, l wanted to know why dad had not been put in isolation, and told of the repercusions of our visit.Later that day the Manager rang me, saying maybe we had bought this virus in with us! not the point lwas trying to point out the serverity of the situation.l was appailed at he attitude and couldnt understand it.

Dad never recovered from his situation. On Wednesday evening he had a heart attack. At the a& e he was also diagnosed with pneumonia. He was also serverly dehydrated. He was in QE 2 weeks before he died.

Anything else?

All aspects of his care in Moseley Hall could have been improved.
