"Would not go back in a hurry"

About: Barnet Hospital

What I liked

The physio unit was great and the staff were very understanding and helpful.

Thank you

What could be improved

The automatic doors did not work and were stuck with only about two foot to get through and just laughed off by staff saying this always happens. People are coming here with mobility problems and the last thing they want is to squeeze through a tiny gap.

There was a lady outside the unit in the car park with obvious mental problems throwing a parking cone at cars with no staff helping her, this went on for about twenty minutes.

When I saw a doctor I was given no proper details about what was wrong even from day one at the unit and brushed off again with pain management and I felt they did not even want to find out as it seemed to much bother.

Anything else?

Staff never once told me the results of scans and what if anything was found or what they could do to help improve my situation.

It was a Friday afternoon and maybe they wanted to get home but after a long waiting time to visit the orthopaedic unit I felt that they were not interested in me or interested discussing what they had found and to just pass me off to a pain unit.

Thank you for your feedback and your praise for the physiotherapy department. Please be assured your comments regarding the automatic doors will be brought to the attention of our Estates Department and we will request that they inspect the doors. We apologise that your experience in the orthopaedic department was less than satisfactory and hope you have a better experience with the pain clinic.
