Thank you so much for taking the time to send us your positive comments about the staff you encountered in the A&E department, Royal London Hospital. These will be fed back to the relevant department.

Please accept our apologies for the poor standard of cleanliness which you encountered on this occasion and please be assured this is not a true reflection of the general standard of cleaning in the department. Domestic staff are employed by Carillion, who are our contractors. The daily general cleaning schedule begins at approximately 3 am when the department is less busy. The complete area is cleaned, including reception and patient areas. I hope that should you return to A&E, this area proves to be more satisfactory.
