What I liked

The nurses on both wards C30 and C32 were wonderful on this latest admittance.

What could be improved

Less arrogant and aggressive doctors who listen and take time to read history properly and not jump to conclusions. A joined up department that works together with other staff, patient and family.

I have been admitted to this hospital 7 or 8 times now with a recurring, seemingly mystery illness that the Doctors can't identify. I get an acute abdominal pain that makes me collapse immendiatey and I'm then i agony for 2 or 3 days, then pain for a week ro 2. and then it goes away.

I've had loads of tests, so can't fault the hospitla there except the number of episodes I'd had before they took it seriously (!!!), but nothing is obvious. So Doctors have now given up on me and want to send me home on this inflight occurence still in agony with no explanation.

They have prescrived a drug call Amitriptyline which is an antidepressant that can be used as a pain killer, but only for certain types of pain. They did not tell me the details or the side effects and then were rude and closed ranks when I researched it and had concerned questions to ask,

They've told me not to come back to the hospital with this condition any more and go to see my GP if the Amitriptyline is having any strange effects.

They did say they had asked the Chronic Pain Team to visit me before I left hosiptal, but now they're trying to send me home while I'm still in agony!!!

Avoid this hsopital if you can.
