What I liked

I am writing as a visitor to my daughter who was on CAU on Mon-Tues this week for chest pains which turned out to be an infection. We visited over the 2 days and in general very satisfied with all aspects of her care and impressed by the efforts to contain infection. Well done! However there was one glaring aspect which really negated all these efforts see below!

What could be improved

On exiting the lifts we were faced with a large trolley overflowing with rubbish in black plastic sacks - at the end of Monday this was not surprising however it was still there on Tuesday night and had even more sacks crammed into it. It must have been a health hazard. So where were the porters and cleaners who should have removed this to the collection point! It was such a letdown after all the care and attention and posters and facilities for infection prevention.
