What I liked
I sent the following message to the N&N on my discharge:

Subject: A&E
Please let everyone in A&E how wonderful they are! I had a fall yesterday evening and was taken by a paramedic to A&E and needed to be kept an eye on for an hour or two. I was treated wonderfully well. The receptionist smiled! Not just once but for all the hours I was there. She treated everyone of us with care and respect and gave us her time and attention willingly when it was needed. The sister in triage was sensible and efficient but also friendly. The doctor at the end of my period of being watched coolly assessed my condition before giving me the o.k. to drive the 40 miles home.
I know it was a comparatively quiet time on a quiet day but I was genuinely impressed by the atmosphere in the department. Smiles spread.
Thank you
Peter Smith MA FCIPR MBE.
"The care given was efficient, well..."
