"Waiting time for treatment has exceeded..."

About: Manor Hospital

What could be improved

Appointment were running very late with no information being given to patients.

Anything else?

My husband's first appointment with a consultant was 19th October 2010. According to the NHS web site patients have the right to receive treatment within 18 weeks of their referral by a GP or first consultation at the hospital. My husband has now been waiting 20 weeks since his first consultation and 22+ weeks since the referral from his GP. At the second consultation on 15th November we were lead to believe that treatment would follow 4/5 weeks later.

Response from Manor Hospital

Thank you for taking the time to post your feedback. We are continually working hard to ensure all our patients are treated within a timely manner, and if this does not happen and treatment targets are missed we do look into the reasons why. I’d be grateful if you could contact us directly so that we can look into your husband’s care to investigate why his treatment may have been delayed.

If you could contact our Patient Advice & Liaison Service (PALS) on 01922 656463 or alternatively you can speak to Angie Wallace, our Divisional Director for Planned Care via our switchboard on 01922 721172.
