What I liked
My 15 year old nephew had 2 operations to correct a curved spine. The staff were wonderful, from the surgeon to the ancillary staff. The hospital was spotlessly clean and my nephew was treated with great care and attention. His mum was given a room to stay in whilst he was in hospital and, when it was quiet over the Bank Holiday, the staff even let her sleep on the spare bed next to him. It is one of the best hospitals I've ever been in.
What could be improved
The only thing I think could have been improved was that the walkway from the children's unit to the main hospital was exposed to the elements and my nephew was wheeled along it with just a cotton sheet over him. It was cold enough for the porters to be wearing thick coats, so I think they should have at least put a blanket over him.
Anything else?
Generally an excellent hospital.
"Excellent."
