"It was an awful experience,I shall never..."

About: Huddersfield Royal Infirmary

What I liked

The staff were pleasant.

What could be improved

I don't even know where to begin, the whole system is backwards.Available beds in the MAU room would have been a better idea than silly reclining chairs,I have a spinal condition and was unable to sit without extreme pain.Privacy in the Mau room,I thought dignity, confidentiality and privacy were supposed to be a standard practice but not here.No MRSA tests were done despite my discharge letter saying that they were awaiting my MRSA test results.Departments seemed to be communicating like 'chinese-whispers' and the correct information was being lost.Doctors failed to inform me of what medication I was being given. Some patients actually benefit from knowing what is happening with their health care.

I was sat in A&E for 4 hours, where all the patients being seen in triage could be overheard because the nurse didn't close the door.I think that is terrible.

Anything else?

This hospital is dire.
