"Excellent"

About: Russells Hall Hospital

What I liked

My wife was referred from GP to Rapid Access Clinic and was seen and given a scan and tests within exactly one week.

Met on arrival at reception with a smiling face - very clean environment. Good cafe/restaurant area in main entrance for me to wait.

Overall excellent service.

Only slight criticism was after the visit.

The doctor at Russells Hall recommended a specific medication - GP said 'not on their list'.

What list?

Is this money or something else?

Russells Hall, however, first class.

What could be improved

I find the concept of having to pay for parking at a hospital totally unacceptable.

We pay enough in our taxes. This is pure income generation and wrong.

What about long term visitors or patients on long term treatment? I know that you can get reduced rates but pay to park - morally wrong at a NHS site.

Thank you for taking the time to post feedback about your wife’s stay in our hospital and thank you for your positive comments about the care your wife received by our gynaecology team.

We continually review our car parking charges to make sure they are kept as low as possible.

Frequent visitors can make use of a value card scheme, which offers reduced parking charges. We also offer a concessionary parking scheme to patients who attend oncology and renal clinics for regular and on-going treatment and to parents of babies and children up to the age of 16 who are inpatients over an extended period.
