(as the patient),

I was seeing a lovely Dr but she has now left my local practice. Now I have to start all over again getting to know a Dr.

will I ever get to see the same Dr I wonder, I'm guessing probably not.

In my experience, you have to be lucky to get an appointment that fits in to a working day and within 2-3 weeks.

I do feel sometimes, that we patients are treated as a bit of an inconvenience when requesting an appointment. Perhaps a good thought would be to think along the lines, 'no patients, no job'

It was good to hear about the doctor you were happy whith at your practice.

I am sorry about your experience of booking an appointment at the practice, I shall pass these onto the Practice Manager.

We are pleased to hear such positive feedback about our GP and I am confident that you will soon have the same relationship with one of our many capable GPs.

Appointments can be booked up to a week in advance to see a doctor and more for a Prescribing nurse.  However, this would depend on whether you wanted to see a specific GP and if the GP is in the practice on the day you request your appointment. Everyday we open a minimum of 16 appointments, plus the doctor on call for those patients that need to be seen that day.
