I had two opinions on a lesion going back about 15 years but which had increased in size recently so when I spoke to my GP again she referred me for a biopsy and it was diagnosed as a basal cell carcinoma.
I received a letter from my GP to arrange an appointment through the Devon Access and Referral Team (DART) who were very efficient and I was offered two choices and given guidance as to which one would probably be best for me for which I was grateful as it was an earlier appointment.
I attended Heavitree Health Centre in Exeter where I was treated by a lovely doctor who had considerable experience with these type of skin complaints and who was kind and considerate. She removed the lesion and stitched it up so well that you can hardly see it and this was only done a few weeks ago.
I was very impressed and really grateful that the whole process had taken such a short time.
