"I'm on the last leg of my treatment"

About: Guernsey House / Primary care addiction service Sheffield (PCASS)

(as a service user),

I come to Guernsey House every 4 weeks. I like the staff I deal with, and can't think of any way they could be better.

I am on Subutex, but only a very small amount so I am nearly completely off it, which will be a really good thing.

I am already working so I have a life to get back to.

If Guernsey House could do one thing to help me recover it would be to eliminate all dealers in Sheffield!

When you are recovering and keeping off the gear, the last thing you want is to be in contact with drug users and dealers. Working means that I normally keep away from them, which is helping me.

Thanks for taking the time to share your experience of treatment at Guernsey House. It's great to read that you like the staff and that you're successfully moving towards your recovery goals.

We want to support our service users to work and we don't want appointments with our doctors to get in the way of that which is why we offer evening appointments on Wednesdays...although this doesn't deal with the problem of coming into contact with dealers entirely, we hope you find the evening clinics useful.
