"Accident and emergency - Royal Oldham Hospital"

About: Royal Oldham Hospital / Accident and emergency

(as the patient),

Currently on Warfarin due to DVT sustained due to limb in cast.

Had chest pain and was finding it painful to breathe. Rang NHS Direct for advice, they rang an ambulance, was assessed by paramedics who said I was okay but due to other medical history wanted me checked out at Hospital.

Went to Royal Oldham Hospital, seen by junior doctor after half an hour who took 5 mins to say I had a virus, to go home and to take Tyxilix and that there was a minimal chance of having a pulmonary embolism so no point in doing any tests.

I have a previous history of pleurisy and my INR blood count had only just got stable. I was coughing badly and brought up phlegm but apparently this was a non productive cough and a nursing sister shouted at me for trying to make myself sick. I am now still in agony but too afraid to go back.
