"Nursing Care (Lack of)"

About: Hospital and GP surgery

I really think that organisations such as yours, (which I do admire for speaking out on behalf of patients), have enough "examples", and should somehow move to action. My experience of NHS "nursing" is one of unremitting arrogance, patronising attitudes, lack of care, incompetence and laziness. This applies equally in GPs surgeries and hospitals.

The Ombudsman's report last week was unequivocal. The problem is not money but staff.

When is someone going to admit that the problem is the so called "graduate nurses" who, to quote, "don't do mess"? Please can we get rid of this travesty, and start training nurses in practical nursing skills while there are still some older nurses around who can remember what these are.
