"Transient Ischemic Attack (mini stroke)"

About: ROYAL BLACKBURN INFIRMARY

(as the patient),

Woke up at 05 15, all the left side of my body was numb, head to toe.

I went back to bed then thought better of it, and got up, looked in mirror to grin ,lift arms above head (slow and hard but did it).

I then rang help line health service told of symptoms, told to wait. Ambulance turned up within 6 minutes. Did some tests, walked me to the ambulance and I was in the accident ward by 6 am.

I had full tests for bloods, heart ,blood pressure etc. I was seen by a doc after 45 minutes and told what had occurred (with a full explanation) and was sent home at 10 15am.

I was told to come back at 13.30 to see a specialist. I did so and had another full medical and a scan on neck (again, with a full explanation) as to what had happened and measures to combat another attack in future.

I have nothing but good words to say about Blackburn Royal Infirmary.
