In January, I was admitted to The Northern General Hospital/General Surgery where I had four hernias repaired by Mr. Chidambaram-Nathan. I was apprehensive before the operation as I had a bad experience with a hernia repair many years ago. When I came round after the operation I was taken care of very well.
I stayed in hospital overnight with regular checks on my condition and the medication I received was obviously correct as I had a comfortable night. I was very happy with the treatment I received from all the staff and doctors at the hospital.
On day two after arriving home some considerable discomfort did develope but my G P visited me at home and carried on the excellent care to bring me through the ordeal.
I think that the standard of care that I received was exemplary. Well done everyone involved!
