What I liked

The Robert Damn unit in this Hospital (level 8) is a centre of excellence like no other I have experienced. The team who runs this are an extra ordinary group of people who operate a culture, that has to be experienced to be believed. In my experience it is rare to encounter excellence - particularly in the NHS, where one does encounter it- I beleive it should be recognised - these group of people operate nothing short of a model for how the NHS should be operated -at its best! Their communication skills, attitude, empathy, knowledge and skills, delivery and outcome are truly a gift to experience. Always involve you in your health care. I cannot speak highly enough of this group of professionals - if ever we needed to witness a centre of excellence in the NHS in the uk, and demonstrate to other workers in the NHS ( at all levels) how to operate and deliver at its very best - this is it. I would urge all other NHS staff in Ealing hospital ( Consultants and nusing staff alike) to spend thirty mins of their time - to witness and learn from this team.

What could be improved

How strange is this - in attending this department for some 10 years, I could not cite one issue that needs addresing, thats says so much about the attitude of these professionals, always looking to improve their service and keep one step ahead, they never display or convey a cynical or self serving ( everything is ok ) approach. One wonders how it is that a group of people like this, with such skills knowledge empathy and attitude - can be drawn together to deliver what they do in the current and recent climate of the NHS. It is truly like walking through a slum or war zone and finding Nivarna with a beacon of light shinning straight in front of you. What a group of human beings these people are. They are, and importantly demonstrate, the potential we all have but rarely show on what it is to be the very best you can and we can be - day in day out 24/7. If only we could bottle this approach and attitude and spread it around !!!! - we'd all be truly richer ( not financially) people.AttitudeCommunicationConsultantsApproachableService
