About: North Middlesex Hospital

What I liked

nothing

What could be improved

Today i spent the whole day back and forth at middlesex hospital to find i feel as sick i was when i went there in the first place. When i first came i was shocked i had to pay £3.20 for parking i put some money in thinking prehaps the amount i put in would equate to to a time to find that one putting £2.80 gave me 15 mins. I wehnt to the information desk to find a very unhelpful staff member to directed me to a parking assitant to slammed a leaflet down and walked off when i speaking to him. After that i left and came back in the evening to go to a&e i waited there for ages and noticed a couple of things

1- no voice over so that people who were either hard of hearing or did not speak english couldnt really hear whether a doctor had called them in.

2- The nurses who did call you in didnt really bother to speak up when calling you in rather spoke normally and if you didnt hear well tough luck.

3- i noticed one nurse who had called her paitents in and left them waitng near reception while she had a full on conversation with somebody she had recognised.

Unfortunately i had fallen victim to point 2. I failed to hear the doctor when he had called me in and spoke to the receptionist about it who said theres nothing she can do. She was very rude and unhelpful and talked to me as though i was banging on then walls and asking for a fight.

If i am totally honest if your sick you better off staying at home and ordering some make believe herbal medicines off the net than going to north mid. It is a disgrace to the NHS people should be disgusted with how they treat people who are sick. I also recommend noting the names of those who do not help you so if you are to worsen these people can be acknowledged as to the part they played in making your situation worse, perhaps then they would make more of an effort and realise this is not some little clothes store they are working in but an actual hospital where their actions will and do play a part in peoples heatlh.

Anything else?

If anybody is reading this message who works in NHS and can honestly look back at when they have been unhelpful and rude, just think to yourselves now where exactly that person you disregarded is, as i feel this will make you think twice about turning your back on people who clearly need your help.CommunicationRudeCar ParkLeafletsReceptionDoctorsNursing staffReception staff
