What I liked
My GP referred me to casualty and from the moment I arrived, the service was excellent. The Staff Nurse was absolutely brilliant; she not only looked after me but also kept me informed and made me feel that I was not wasting the hospital's valuable A&E time or bed space. The doctor was also exceptional: under pressure from increasing numbers of referrals, he still found the time to not only keep me up to date with progress but also chase up results etc - I felt part of the treatment rather than an inconvenience that had to be got out the door as quickly as possible. The MRI staff were also very caring and took the time to help me in and out of their department despite the pressure of others waiting for their scans. Finally the ward was very clean with a very competent cleaner who could, and did, clean thoroughly. Overall, I am impressed by all that the hospitals A&E department had to offer me as a patient - well done.
What could be improved
I have no ares for improvement, I thought the staff did excellently under pressure and the limitations we are all suffering under budget constraints.ReferralsCleanlinessProfessionalismServiceDoctorsNursing staff
