"More like a hotel than a hospital"

As an Nhs patient. I was treated in a private hospital "Thornbury" so perhaps, my views are not exactly relevant to the Nhs. I was totally happy and satisfied with every aspect of my treatment ranging from initial consultation, through operation, waiting times, after care and follow-up consultation. I am pleased to say that, the operation was a complete success.

The experience of Thornbury treatment was superb in every way, more like a hotel than a hospital. I would really like that every hospital could be like that.

One Thing that helped me to gain confidence immediately afterwards was spending 1 week in a nursing home at my own expenses, to benefit from extra days of care and extra supervised physiotherapy. I think that something similar would be of great help to elderly people like my self who live alone and have no children or relatives living locally. The social service carers who came every morning to help with washing and dressing also gave me a superb treatment and service in spite of some extreme weather conditions. without them I would have struggled.
