I was admitted to ward 40 three weeks ago after a week of tests and ct scans found out that I had a blood clot on the brain.
I had a Lumper Puncture which was the worst thing I have ever gone through, and as I have 3 kids thats saying something but I realise now that it had to be done as part of my care.
I was on the ward for a week and was in room 126 with 5 other women. I found the nursing staff very friendly and easy to talk to. and my consultant Mr Duncan and his SHO Simon were both very nice and spoke to me, not at me. They always considered my thoughts and feelings on what they were considering.
The ward was very clean and there was always domestics around making sure that everything was as clean as it could be.
All in all my stay at ward 40 was a pleasent experience. I went in feeling awful and had the worst headaches ever but after my stay there and my new medication I was feeling 100% better.
Could not thank the staff more for making me feel so much better and getting me home to my kids.
