What I liked
The professionalism of the surgical and theatre teams.
Going home!!
What could be improved
Basically every aspect of the nursing care from start to finish. From my first step onto the Orthopaedic Surgical Ward to the final endless waiting for discharge medication, the nursing "care" was shambolic and chaotic. I felt I was in the middle of a crash course in crisis management.
I drafted a letter at the time (once I'd simmered down) but never sent it.
If you are at all interested, contact me and I'll send it to you.
Anything else?
I am now facing the real possibility of needing further orthopaedic surgery and do not want to be staying on the orthopaedic wards at University Hospital North StaffsSurgeryPatient careProfessionalismOrthopaedics
