What I liked
Considering that my stay in ward 12 was at an extremely busy time (Jan 11-18th) I have to say that the overall care was excellent. My admission to MAU was sympathetic and caring and whilst there I experienced acts of kindess shown to other patients by nurses.
In ward 12 there was an excellent level of care, you have some very hard working and dedicated male and female nurses. Other patients with social and dependency problems were treated with great respect.
I was indebted to the Consultant who came to see at 6.00pm and was reassuring and positive.
The sister in charge was helpful and supportive.
The general standard of cleanliness was excellent and whilst there an impressive 'deep clean' took place, cleaning staff were helpful.
The food was of a consistent standard and the choices were good and the food served hot. Staff were friendly and helpful.
Overall my experience of staying in hospital has left me reassured at the quality of care shown. Thankyou
What could be improved
If anything I felt there was sometimes a breakdown in consistency of care by doctors. It was difficult if one doctor ordered tests one day and the next day a different doctor would change this and diagnose something else. I did have to wait for an ultrasound scan ordered for Friday 14th Jan and didn't get one until Tuesday 18th Jan.AdmissionsCleanlinessConsiderateDedicatedFoodPatient careReassuringTemperatureConsultantsNursing staffRadiologyDoctors
