I had had a headache recently which would not go after taking propriety medicines. After three days I rang an on call number which directed me to the on call surgery at Runcorn Hospital. All I can say from this point the service was exceptional. As I am a diabetic the doctor in charge decided that I may need some sort of scan and referred me to Warrington Hospital.
I was then sent to the acute emergency ward. I was offered something to eat on arrival and after a few test was admitted to the short stay ward A1. Constant monitoring of my condition was carried out on Sunday. On the Monday I was seen by Dr Moloney who organised a x rays of my head and neck and also a Cat scan of my head.I was given the results of the Cat scan within 1 hour and and the Xray within 12 hours.
The sheer professionalism of the staff was a joy to behold(especially with some difficult patients who were on the ward on Sunday evening). The nurses on duty coped magnificently.I also must point out that the young lady who cleaned the ward on Tuesday was a proper cleaner.
Thank you very much for my stay
Regards
