What I liked
The ward clerk working during the day was the most helpfull and polite lady to speak to either by telephone contact or in person.
What could be improved
Personal attitude of the management, found them to be ignorant and rude on most occassions, lacked any compassion when asked questions about patient involved.
Anything else?
Apart from the management ( At least I think that's who they were) who were very abrupt on most occassions when approached, (once when informed them that I found the drip stand to be dirty and wished it to be cleaned her reply was ' Well it is old and has been in storage'!! They then just wiped it over with antibacterial wipe) all other senior nursing staff seemed to answer any questions to the best of their ability and auxillary staff worked hard on such a busy ward. Porters could be more carefully and considerate when transporting patient, banging into doors, walls etc., with no thought that patient might be in pain. If on a side ward, you are the forgotten one, drinks are left on table usually out of reach of patient and sometimes not even assisted to take drink. No such thing as a nurses station on this ward, office is at beginning of ward and staff room at the end- when they have their little meetings how on earth can they be overseeing the patients especially if they cannot/unable to reach call button.ApproachableCleanlinessConsiderateDrinksReceptionWardManagementNursing staffPortersAttitudeHelpfullnessRudeTelephone
