"Poor experience at Kettering General Hospital"

We recently had a stay in KGH with my child, but then were transfered to a different hospital. We were pleased to be transfered and when we compared the care we received at the second hospital this put KGH into the shade. KGH say that the staff will wear name badges and introduce themselves and explain the care they are providing - sadly the staff we saw didn't. We were slightly concerned re cleaning at KGH and having gained a comparison elsewhere the cleaning is poor.

The staff we saw at KGH seemed to have an attitude that if you are broadly stable that is good. Interestingly I went to KGH web site earlier to post some feedback - could not find any where to do so. They have a Blog, but this has not been updated for months and one of the two blogs was from the Chief Exec who left months ago.

KGH needs to take a fresh look at itself. The standard of care could be immediately improved, just by people taking a fresh look at standards - wearing name badges and treating people with respect costs no more.
