Some time ago I had concerns of a rising PSA(Prostate-specific antigen) blood level , I could not get the treatment I needed where I live in Ireland so I decided to go to London Guy's hospital for a template biopsy which looks at all the prostate for cancer. I had the treatment and returned to Ireland where I waited for the results, a few days later I got a phone call from guy's with the results, I was told I was all clear no cancer. As you can imagine I was very please and relaxed.
Well time went buy but the symptoms did not go away the PSA kept going up, my GP decided to send me to a specialist in Cork, I ended up having a major operation to remove my prostate, my doctor told me after the operation that they found my prostate to be fully cancerous , you might well ask what happened with the all clear Guy's Gave me , I tried to talk to them about it but they would not talk to me, if I didn't have the operation on the prostate I would not be writing this now..
