What I liked

I attended the imaging and A+E dept. It was busy in A+E and I waited 55 mins to see the triage nurse, but I was fine, and then I was treated promptly by the consultant, had Xrays and a through explanation. I couldn't fault their service.

Imaging were a little less organised organised at reception and I did go between 2 and LG floors etc but the radiology and clinical staff were friendly and helpful and and treated me with diginity.

What could be improved

admin at recpetions in imaging and long wait in A+E to see the nurse

Thank you for your high recommendation of our services. I was sorry to hear about your long wait for triage in A&E. We aim for a nurse to triage all patients within 30minutes but unfortunately due to the unpredicatability of numbers of attendances, this can take longer. We are constantly looking at ways of improving and are exploring how our emergency nurse practitioners can be developed to provide a more comprehensive service. I am happy to read that you were then promptly treated by a consultant.

We were also very sorry to hear you found the imaging reception less well organised. We always endeavour to give the best possible experience to all our patients and provide all the necessary training our staff need to perform their duties to a very high standard. I am very sorry that this was not your experience. However, I am very pleased that you found the radiology staff friendly and helpful and that you were treated with dignity.
