What I liked
I am very very disapointed with the hospital on the whole. I was taken into hospital by an ambulance, (which must have taken a very long route) with hyperthyroid toxicosis. I am now aware that it was plain for any doctor to see what my symtoms pointed to, as apparently I was a text book case. However - the two doctors that I was seen by told me absolutely nothing about my condition. In fact, one doctor - who spoke very poor english - pointed to my tremor (a very common symption of hyperthyroidism) and stated "If you do not calm down, no one is going to help you!" Ahh I see, so if someone has a tremor you let them die do you? Very professional. I was then discharged, none the wiser as to what was going on or what was wrong with me, or what was subsequently going to happen to me. I was later readmitted to hospital after my GP performed some blood tests - they were disgusted and astounded that I had been discharged from hospital with no help, given the state that I was in.
What could be improved
Overall, the staff have no time for their patients and are very unapproachable and unfriendly. Improving this might be a good start!Overactive thyroidAmbulanceBlood testDoctors
"Absolutely horrendous!"
