" Staff on ward 32 made sure that I wasn't just a patient"

About: Western General Hospital (Edinburgh)

(as the patient),

I had to have a disk removed 2 days before Christmas 2010, I was admitted the same day as the op

They quickly got everything sorted as I was expecting, following my pre op the previous week.

Well organised I thought' I was also impressed with the way the different staff worked together with me from the start. I got to know all the nursing staff the week before, so when I got admitted the nerves for the op seemed a bit easier to handle.

The theatre staff was very good and I felt that I was in good hands. I was particularly impressed when the nursing staff also treated my wife visiting me after the op, with special care.

I can honestly say that the staff of ward 32 made sure that I wasn't just a patient, but a person who is in pain, and they took very good care of me.

Thank you to the staff of ward 32, pre Christmas 2010.
