I am a staff member at this hospital and have had many years experience of caring for patients and extended family. I have always given the best care I can with the available resources but most of the time patients and relatives are so rude and ungrateful.
With NHS cuts, understaffing and pay freezes it is inevitable that morale will be low and staff exhausted leading to an impact on patient care.
I have had enough of caring for rude and abusive patients and relatives and intend to leave the profession this year. I can get the same pay working at a supermarket so why have all the stress of caring for people who can't even say thank you?
I feel that nurses have had enough and I'm sure will be leaving in droves...so who will care for people then?
"Rude patients and not even a thank you"
