What I liked

I have recently had a total hip replacement at Airedale Hospital, and was extremely impressed by the care and service that I received.

I was treated with exemplary professionalism, courtesy and consideration at all times by the doctor and their team and the staff on wards 20 and 9. This excellence of care extended to the radiographers, the physiotherapists, the porters, the cleaners and all other members of staff. All were a credit to their profession, themselves and the hospital. A special mention must go to the night staff on Ward 9 who were angels of patience and forbearance.

One often hears of the deficiencies of the NHS, but my experience was a positive one, and I felt confident that I was in good hands at all times.

What could be improved

The meal ordered and the meal received did not always match, but that is a minor niggle.

Anything else?
