About: Leighton Hospital

What I liked

My mumhas just spent the worst week of her 88 years in ward 4, she was in great pain every night and requested painkillers which she never received, the nurse on duty just kept saying we'll bring thme in a minute but never did. Every morning when I rang mum to see if she was ok she was in tears and quite distressing for me never mind her.

This morning I range and she was crying saying she wanted to go home she had a painful leg and was made to walk on it which distressed her even more. I rang and complained to the ward sister who said they would investigate the incident, the next thing I heard mum was going home, in my opinion she's not fir enough but she can't put up with these circumstances any longer, she'll be better looked after at home, I'm very disappointed with this hospital and will be pleased if I never have to go there again.

What could be improved

Everything except the care in the discharge ward which I couldnt fault at all, the nurse on duty today 20th Dec was outstanding and arrnaged all medicines and her ambulance home very well with great effort. A pity the rest of the staff arn't the same.
