My friend was experiencing some problems so was referred to a Neurological Consultant.
She was told one visited her local Breightmet Health Centre.
She agreed to have her appointment there as she felt she would not need to travel far.
She waited for her appointment which eventually arrived and it was with a doctor based at the Salford Royal Hospital who did clinics at the Health Centre.
As a result of this appointment she was referred for more tests.
An MRI scan at Beaumont Hospital and specialists tests which she had to travel to Salford Royal for.
She then had to wait again for an appointment at her "local" Health Centre for the results.
NHS Bolton have spent millions building New Health Centres but have services really improved? In my opinion they are not in the community.
