What I liked
The staff were wonderful - without them my unplanned stay would have been awful. They were so busy but always smiling and would stop to chat when they had a minute - that made the world of difference.
What could be improved
Perhaps more time spent explaining what was happening and what would happen once I left hospital. It was frightening not always knowing what was happening.
Also - for the first 4 days I was not feeling ill at all, being in for a broken ankle. I quickly became extremely bored and my husband brought in my laptop so I could be doing some work and catching up with people - unfortuntaely despite the best efforts by the nurses, I was told I wasnt able to access the wifi network. The tv screens were simply no good to work on and I would have been happier if I could have been geting on with things whilst waiting for my operation. A simple thing but this really would have made the world of difference to me at that time.
Anything else?
The nature of my injury meant I was in a ward whereby everyone else was quite elderly. They were very lovely however it was so good to be able to chat with the staff - they were so busy but I hope they know how much I appreciated the time they took to stop and talk every so often.
"Wonderful staff, I could never thank..."
