About: Watford General Hospital

What I liked

My elderly mother was admitted as an emergency with a broken femur to A & E. She transferred to AAU and then to Cleves Ward (where as of 7/12/10 she remains). The medical treatment, care and compassion shown to my mother from everyone - care staff, nursing staff, physios, doctors - has been outstanding.

Whenever I have phoned the ward for information, I have never been given the impression that they were too busy to speak to me.

Thank you.

Anything else?

Recent reports in the media have denigrated treatment of the elderly in certain hospitals. Watford General (Cleves Ward) should be highlighted as an example of excellent practice in elderly care.
