"Appalling!"

What I liked

I am appalled at the treatment my mum has received at the hands of your consultants and staff. The hospital is dirty and unwelcoming, the food inedible and the attitude of staff disgusting.

Her initial knee replacement was messed up in April last year, resulting in another knee replacement before she could leave hospital. This 'new knee' was too big and infected and caused over a year of agony and antibiotics.

Finally in April this year she had her knee removed and was confined to a wheelchair whilst she fought the infection. In July this year she was promised a knee replacement in 3 weeks. 3 months on she is still waiting for that knee. The prolonged inactivity caused her to get blood clots which travelled to her lungs and without prompt action from her GP she would have died. Instead spent another week in hospital seriously ill. What do you have to do to get any care from this hospital!!
