"A massive thank you to NHS staff after my car accident"

About: South Western Ambulance Service NHS Foundation Trust / Emergency ambulance Yeovil District Hospital / Accident and emergency

(as the patient),

I was recently in a serious car accident that occured on the outskirts of Ilchester at the start of December 2010.

I am a young driver and lost control when breaking on a corner that was covered in ice. My car span in the road travelled through the hedge and rolled over in the field, landing on the drivers side. It is my first car accident and as i was travelling on my own at the time i was terrified.

Members of the public came to help me and supported me until the ambulance service (based in Yeovil) came to my rescue. They were extremely calming and if it wasn't for them I would have been in an awful state.

Everything was explained to me so i was fully aware of what was going on, and the friendly staff were faultless, they acted professionally and constantly made me feel at ease, taking no risks.

I just wanted to take this opportunity to say a massive thankyou for all their hard work that day as they really did make my traumatic experience a lot easier to get through. Thankyou again to the amazing staff that gave me the confidence to be brave, i believe one of their names was Brenda but didn't manage to get the others names.

So thanks again, your hard work is deeply appreciated.
