"breakfast club at ashley house"

About: Ashley House / Substance Misuse Service

(as the patient),

Its lovely to be able to go somewhere and get a cuppa and have a chat, one of the staff who helps run the club seems to really understand what it like for me as a Heroin addict and how hard it is to get clean.

Other staff there offer advice on where you can get help, it would be nice if they could do hot food and also it would be good for it to be on everyday.

Thank you for your posting it's really good that you have found the breafast club helpful to you.

It is a new initiative so we are in the early stages in regards to how it is structured and how often it will be available ,at the moment it is held on a Friday from 10am.

The idea to start the club was made from our service user group and they are working really hard to make it a success.I will pass on your positive comments to them.

In regards to hot food the club is limited to what it provides due to some of the Health & Safety requirements of Ashley House, for example we can not have toasters ,ovens or hotplates in the building.
