"Trust the Process and vida"

About: Ashley House / Substance Misuse Service

(as the patient),

Vida is a good idea but when I go its always full of people from TTP ( trust the process ) ,it takes ages to get a treatment beacuse of this. I feel its unfair as TTP use this service on all 3 days vida are there.

I wish TTP could sort out their own day for their members to go on, so that other service users of Ashley House can get a go.

I also feel a bit intimidated having to go into a room that, feels to me, is so clicky and they don't seem to understand that TTP is not for everyone and seem to want to ram it down your throat

We are sorry that you felt you had a long wait for your treatment. We do try to get through everyone as quickly and as fairly as possible, we operate on a first come, first served basis at every session.

We do try to make everyone feel welcome at Vida and to talk about a range of topics.

thank you for your feedback

All the staff at ashley house would agree with your post! VIDA really is a great idea, also provided by a fantastic group of staff who always endeavour to make the room calming and holistic.

VIDA is open to anyone accessing ashley house on a first come first serve basis, this appears to be the fairest and easiest way for the majority of service users to access this vital part of treatment.

We at ashley house have discussed this on several occassions with VIDA, if we sanctioned a whole afternoon for clients from just one service, then we run the risk of excluding other clients who might only be able to get there on a specific day.

We would like to offer you the chance to come in and discuss your feelings of exclusion and intimidation in the hope that we could help move towards a solution that you would be more comfortable with.

On a practical note about waiting for treatments, VIDA work on a first come first served basis, the TTP clients dont usually get there until 1:30pm as TTP treatment doesnt finsh until 1:00pm in Runcorn. if your available to be there for 1pm you could access this service in an easier and faster way.

I can not restrict any of the converataions that are happening as clients are free to talk about anything, people will inevitabily talk about things they deem as being helpful to them as they move forward.

let us know if you would like to access any of the solutions on offer.

thank you
