Yesterday I went to my GP centre hoping to get some medicines for something that started as a cold, that is becoming something worse... This is the 4th time that I attend in 2 weeks. Sometimes the nurse checked me instead the doctor and she prescribed " drinking water and eating vegs" I am agree that it's very healthy but maybe it's not enough.
The doctor always gives me something but a real medicine. Every time that I go, they say that mucolytics are not prescribed for young people, that I have to be patient because someday I would get better... next week? next month?.... what are they supposed to do if I finally have something really bad?
I don't see the point of this kind of medicine... If I go to the doctor 4 times in 2 weeks, please believe me I am really sick and I need medicines!
So could anyone tell me if in this country it's that difficult to get some medicines even if you really need them?
I think everything is about the medical budget and for me; the NHS does not work efficiently at all.
"The doctor will not give me any medicine"
